| Instructor Bio: | My name is Diana Degan and ever since I was young, I've loved creating. Writing, knitting, sewing, crocheting, scrapbooking, painting, home decor, gift baskets, making cards, planning events....nobody in my family knows where I get it from. Must be my Italian nonna who passed away months before I was born. I love to decorate for every holiday, but Christmas is the ultimate expression of my love of celebration. I started scrapbooking before it was a thing, back when you used those magnetic albums that we now know eats your pictures. And I used to save mementos from trips and add them into the albums. I've spent my career in the public relations and marketing industry, creating programs for companies and clients, including award-winning events for Beyonce and P. Diddy. I now share my knowledge with international students at Conestoga College as a professor and I love it! I've planned events and weddings for family and friends...oh and myself, including a beautiful one in my backyard. My second marriage brought me two beautiful stepdaughters, both who love to be creative. And I have a fabulous Abyssinian cat, named Abi, who is 2 years old and my constant companion?except in the craft studio because she eats my precious papers! I am a published, award-winning creator and innovator communicator and I love sharing my passion for creating beautiful pieces that capture glimpses of time that become memories or inspire others.
